WHAT TO EXPECT

We will first do a tour of the studio and gallery, looking at kinds of pottery, visiting the kilns and learning about the process. We do a quick "demo" of pottery throwing. Then visitors don aprons, sit down at their wheels, and (with lots of hands-on help) begin making pots! Everyone should be able to make 4 or 5 pieces.

For safety purposes, all of our workshops are now PRIVATE for each group. Your group may be one person or 8, but you will not share the classroom with any other students.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Come ride 3 of the biggest and fastest ziplines in California! Once checked in, all guests will be fitted with a safety harness and go through a quick safety briefing with our highly trained guides. Once comfortable, all guests will load into the Highline Hummer 4x4 vehicle, for a fun and exhilarating climb up the mountainside, ascending over 1,000', through our protea flower fields, and finishing high above the Santa Ynez Valley.

At the top guests will take in dramatic sweeping views of the Santa Ynez valley and surrounding mountainscape. Here is where guests will launch from Zip 1, California's longest zipline.

Guests will descend back down to the valley floor via a total of 3 ziplines. Total tour time is based on group size and flow but lasts roughly 1-2 hours in length.

3: Arlington Theatre

In the El Pueblo Viejo Historic District, there are charming pedestrian walkways, called paseos, that snake through Santa Barbara and are often overlooked by visitors. Dating back to Spanish California days, they were expanded when the downtown was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1925. It is here, along these twists and turns, that past and present are nestled side by side, with some buildings dating from the 1700s through the 1800s and embodies the best of Santa Barbara's Spanish Colonial Revival architecture. In this section, we will explore the former VIP limousine entrance as well as the transformed 125 space parking lot on the north side of the iconic Arlington Theater.

Next, we explore the premier open-space food hall of the Public Market, a Santa Barbara legacy that showcases the incomparable bounty of Californias Central Coast since 2014. This unique space was the first and only of its kind in Santa Barbara; a space created to be shared by multiple restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and food counters that would allow for newer restaurateurs to try out novel ideas. Here you will find a wide selection of artisanal food and drinks to please any palate, conveniently located under one roof.

5: The Granada Theatre

Prepare to discover white stucco walls, memorable red tile roofs, flower bedecked courtyards, hidden passageways, notable restaurants, world-class performing arts theaters and museums. The next paseo we encounter is Victoria Court. Once we get through the maze to the other side, we will take a little stroll on State Street past the iconic 1924 Granada Theater. This is home to the Santa Barbara Symphony, State Street Ballet, and Opera Santa Barbara. Then we meander through the San Marcos Building. Exiting this pre-1925 arcade brings us right in front of the 1941 Santa Barbara Museum of Art, a building that was at one time the Santa Barbara Post Office (19121932). Now, it is home to a collection of ancient through contemporary works and photography represented by Asian, European and American artists. Afterward, we make our way through our last charming paseo. Lined with restaurants, shops and galleries, the 1926 La Arcada will definitely evoke images of Spain.

At our second stop Goodland Waffles and Melts, we will introduce you to a unique restaurant experience that has locals standing in a long line waiting for that perfect bite. Inspired by nouveau donut artists such as Sidecar Doughnuts in Santa Monica, Hook & Press is taking what a typical donut shop would do and elevates it by using an overnight brioche dough made with European-style butter, eggs, whole milk, sugar, and salt. Then prepare to satiate all your sugar-laden dreams by enjoying a sample off their gourmet donut menu which changes seasonally. WHAT TO EXPECT

Head to Refugio State Beach near Santa Barbara in the morning for the start of your Gaviota Coast kayaking trip. Before climbing into your boat, get outfitted with your gear and listen to a safety lesson, paddling demonstration, and explanation of how to get in and out of the kayak.

Once youre feeling ready, continue on for the journey along the shore with just your guide and small group for company.

As you paddle, your guide points out marine life like pristine underwater kelp and some of the more than 1,500 species of plants and animals that call this state preserve home. If youre particularly lucky, you might also see some of Refugio State Beachs dolphin residents.

After several hours on the water, return to your original departure point.

Your guide will outfit the members of your group and offer a thorough kayaking lesson on shore. Once we are on the water, we will tour a total of 3 miles, stopping in pristine kelp beds to learn about Marine Ecology and the Santa Barbara Channel, and hopefully kayaking with dolphins and sea lions.

Interested in renting a Kayak or SUP in Santa Barbara? Come stand up paddle or kayak at our downtown location. This is the newest beach rental stand in Santa Barbara located on the sand just to the right of the pier. Easy entry into the water with a kayak or sup as there are no waves to battle from this location making it easy and fun for the entire family. The best part, you can get to the open ocean if you like within minutes and to the buoys that are always covered with seals.

Turn left onto Garden St. Drive .4 mi. across the train tracks and turn right. Park in the lot (1 Garden St., at the intersection of Cabrillo and Garden). Parking fees may apply. Your wine guide will meet you in the parking lot by the restrooms.

From the North: Take Hwy 101 South toward Santa Barbara. As you enter the Santa Barbara area take the Garden St. Exit, 96B. Explore the stunning vineyards and quaint towns of the Santa Ynez Valley while our guide shares some of the history and wine production secrets of the valley. We will visit three full production wineries and lunch will be enjoyed amidst the vineyards.

We spend about an hour at each winery and allow approximately an hour for lunch at one of those stops.
