This trip includes 4-5 hours of guided canyoneering down the scenic Tanque Verde Canyon just outside of Tucson, AZ. History: The Rialto was built by William Curlett & Sons, who also built the Congress Hotel. The theatre opened in 1920, hosting vaudeville acts, live performances and showing some silent films. It was bought by Paramount-Publix in 1929 and began showing talkies becoming a mainstay in downtown Tucson entertainment for several decades.

Guests will embark on a beautiful 90 minute ride through Coronado National Forest and Catalina State Park with amazing view of Santa Catalina Mountains. We take the time to personally estimate your abilities and then match you to a horse for your height and weight to make the trip as safe and comfortable as possible. There is a 240lb weight limit for your safety and the health of our horses. Although it takes a lot of time this process ensures that you are as safe as possible as this is our primary concern. So, please be patient with this individual instruction and loading. Once we are all safely riding horses we will follow beautiful trails with amazing views of the Saguaro Cactus and the Santa Catalina Mountains. Let's take some time by pausing to take some scenic family pictures and enjoy the vista. We have many amazing trails so the rides are always interesting with different trails.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your group at the meeting point for either a morning or afternoon departure. Get a bicycle appropriate for your height and a helmet, and listen to a short safety orientation led by your guide.

Your Tuscon adventure begins with a ride over to Rattlesnake Bridge, the 28-foot-long downtown bridge that was completed in 2002. The bridge is actually shaped like a real diamondback rattlesnake. Make sure to hold onto your handles as you bike through its body and your guide tells tales of bank robbers and outlaws that used to reside in the area.

Then, explore the historical streets of Barrio Viejo, and see colorful adobe homes and fascinating shrines. Cruise down Barrio Kroger Lane and get a closer look at the Santa Cruz River.
