City Center

The modern luxurious ski resort of Poiana-Brasov has several wonderful accommodation options including charming wooden chalets, large luxury resorts, and fantastic hotels. In 1951 Poiana Brasov hosted the World Student Winter games, which put the resort area on the map, it hosts many important competitions throughout the year. It is the most popular ski resort in the country, a small Alpine resort often nicknamed “The Romanian Alps”. There are lavish hotels, spas, leisure centers in the oasis of Poiana Brasov. Most of the area’s accommodations are within walking distance of the ski slopes, there are cute shops, great restaurants, and more to explore.

Outskirts

The city of Brasov is about 9 miles away from the Poiana-Brasov resort area with options for several hotels and other accommodations. The outskirts are a good place to base yourselves if you don’t wish to stay at the actual resort area with hotels, lodges, chalets, and B&Bs available. There are also hostels and apartments in the area some offer all-inclusive accommodations. Many of the rooms will have great views of the mountains, there are plenty of dining options, especially in medieval Brasov, along with shopping and sightseeing.
