City Center

Pristina’s city center is filled with accommodations options when compared to other Balkan countries, accommodations can be quite expensive. The lively capital city is filled with a mixture of university students and ex-pats, the city center is decorated with modern luxury hotels and the old quartered is brimming with traditional houses. In the city center, visitors can find some of the main attractions including the library, monuments such as the Newborn Monument, museums, Bill Clinton Boulevard, and the popular Mother Teresa Boulevard lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, and an interesting market. The city is the host of several festivals throughout the year. There are accommodations to suit every budget in Pristina, with apartments, five-star hotels, and motels to choose from. Ibrahim Rrugova Square is the main public square in the heart of the city where many of the main attractions, accommodations, shopping, and dining are located. Many of the hotels in the city center are concentrated along the popular main boulevard and within walking distance to the main sightseeing attractions in the city.

Outskirts

Pristina consists of eight municipalities and 298 villages. There are some 15 gated communities on the outskirts of the city and surrounding areas such as Ferizaj, and Gjilan where large neighborhoods can consist of some 400 houses. Peja is the largest gated community in Pristina, there are five gated communities found here. The Babanaj neighborhood is located close to the Peja-Decan route, a peaceful area. The northern portion of Pristina is home to the Ottoman Empire featuring well-preserved Ottoman structures and architecture. There are some great hotels on the outskirts of Pristina offering great locations and amenities along with spacious rooms. There are hostels and apartments to choose from that are spacious and modern.
