Villas del Mar

Villa del Mar is an upscale and developed area of Juan Dolio. It's located along the beach offering a mix of luxury accommodations and resort-style living. Many accommodations in the area have luxury amenities such as pools, private beach access, and restaurants. The main attraction in this area is the beautiful Playa Juan Dolio. There are an array of restaurants, souvenir shops, and convenience stores in the area.

Juan Dolio El Pueblo

Juan Dolio El Pueblo is the original town area of Juan Dolio, as opposed to the newer, more developed sections along the coast with luxury resorts and modern amenities. It is the more authentic and residential area which offers a glimpse into the daily life of local Dominicans. It is a quieter less-touristy area with modest homes and local businesses, small eateries, and some bars. Many visitors enjoy staying in this area because it has retained the local vibe of Juan Dolio and is less commercialized.
