Barrio Canas
The neighborhood or ‘barrio’ of Canas is one of 31 in Ponce, it is one of the five coastal barrios and home to some of teh best beaches on the island of Puerto Rico. The western region of the country is the surfing capital of Puerto Rico. Canas offers a more laid-back lifestyle than the hustle and bustle of the city center, it has a very relaxed atmosphere. The neighborhood is partly in a mountainous area in the southern section west of the city center, it is home to the Salinas Lagoon, a natural reserve, and El Tuque Beach. Ponce
