Outskirts

Staying on the outskirts of Villa La Angostura offers visitors some wonderful accommodation options like gorgeous hotels, luxury villas, cozy cabins, and idyllic lodges nestled along the lakeside and in the surrounding hills with tranquil surroundings. There is a great abundance of options for places to stay just outside of town with the options of taxis and buses to reach the nearby sights and attractions. The outskirts are the perfect place to stay as a base for exploring Villa La Angostura, Bariloche, and other Patagonian towns. Puerto Manzano

Puerto or Bahia Manzano is a quaint charming village located just a short drive from Villa La Angostura. A picturesque bay nestled along the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake with some unique accommodations boasting breathtaking views. This is a great place to stay for a peaceful vacation among serene scenic surroundings, the waters are clear and great for swimming, and local artisan shops sell chocolate and unique artifacts. There are some great restaurants and bars to visit all offering spectacular views. 

Town

Staying in the Alpine wooden-style town of La Angostura puts visitors halfway between the cities of San Martin de los Andes and Bariloche. The town is set inside the Nahuel Huapi National Park on the west side of the lake where the Los Arrayanes National Park and its forest are located. La Angostura is an upmarket resort town filled with a great variety of accommodations, restaurants, bars, and shops. A mountain village popular for skiing holidays and endless outdoor activities with its snowcapped mountains, the town is nestled against some of the most beautiful breathtaking scenery in the country. The residential area of the town is La Villa, which sits alongside the lake where most of the shops, restaurants, and services can be found. El Cruce is near the main street in town offering a high concentration of restaurants, bars, and shops, this is a convenient place to stay allowing easy access to the town and close to the bus stops.
