KEP - HOTEL ZONES
Beach
Beachfront hotels in Kep offer direct access to the ocean, making it easy to stroll over to Kep Beach for a swim or to catch a stunning sunset. Many of these resorts feature ocean-view rooms, pools, and hammocks, perfect for a relaxing getaway. However, the beachfront area has fewer local dining options compared to the town, and it tends to feel more touristy, with less of the traditional, authentic Cambodian charm you’ll find inland.
Town
Kep Town offers a peaceful and quieter side of Cambodia. Unlike the busier tourist hubs, it’s less developed and exudes a calm, authentic atmosphere. Many accommodations are tucked into the lush hills, providing scenic views and added privacy. However, many visitors choose to stay in the middle of the city due to its proximity to the Crab Market and the abandoned mansions. There are also options for staying a little further out, close to Kep National Park, perfect for hiking and spotting local wildlife. The town itself has a more residential feel, giving you the chance to experience everyday Cambodian life. The popular Kep Crab Market, along with local shops and eateries, is just a short distance away. While the beach isn't far, you’ll likely need a tuk-tuk or bike to reach Kep Beach from this area.
