Mombasa Beach

Mombasa Beach on Mombasa Island connects the surrounding mainlands, it is separated from the mainland by two creeks; Tudor Creek, and Kilindini Harbor. It is connected to the mainland to the north by the Nyali Bridge, to the south by the Likoni Ferry, and to the west by the Makupa Causeway, alongside which runs the Kenya-Uganda Railway. Mombasa is divided into four administrative divisions. Mombasa Island is considered one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in the city, it is an attractive place to stay when visiting. There are beautiful beaches here lots of attractions and activities including museums, parks, and a vibrant nightlife. Mombasa Beach offers a wide range of excellent accommodations to choose from, many set right along the beach shores with excellent views of the water and spectacular sunsets. Visitors can choose from upscale resorts, chain hotels, private villas, hostels, and camping.

City Center

The Mombasa central business district is a densely populated area of the city home to many of the city’s working-class residents. The city center is the transportation hub in Mombasa and is home to the Moi International Airport. There are plenty of hotels and other accommodations in the heart of the city, as well as many dining and entertainment options.

Nyali Beach

Nyali Beach is a prim, upmarket residential area in Mombasa, situated on the mainland north of the island, linked by the New Nyali Bridge. This beautiful neighborhood features numerous beachfront hotels in the area known as the “North Coast”. There are two distinct sections of the neighborhood; the upmarket Old Nyali and the upcoming New Nyali with plenty of things to do in both sections including two Nakumatts, a cinema, shopping malls, banks, schools, and post offices. Nyali is home to the Nyali Cinemax complex, Mamba Village, and the Nyali Golf Club. The area has plenty of opportunities for dining and entertainment in Nyali, which allows visitors to avoid the congested mainland. Many of the accommodations here offer spectacular views of the sparkling Indian Ocean with its lovely palm-fringed beaches where there are luxury villas, apartments, and private houses available to rent.
