City Center

The picturesque city center of Satu Mare is a great place to base yourself when visiting the city. The city center is pretty compact with flat terrain and the location of the main train and bus stations. There are several hotels to choose from in the center of the city including 4-star hotels like City Hotel Satu Mare housed in a traditional historic building with many unique characteristics and charms. In the city center, visitors will find a number of restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs, shops, and many of the main tourist attractions. The central square of Piatat Liberatatii or Freedom Square is a great place in the heart of the city for dining, accommodations, shopping, and sightseeing.

Outskirts

Hotels and guesthouses on the outskirts of Satu Mare are a great place to stay when visiting the busy city. Staying on the outskirts allows visitors easy access to the city center with transportation options or just a short car ride away. There are many quaint and unique places to base yourself on the outskirts with views of the surroundings and some of the river. The hotels on the outskirts are clean, comfortable and many offer cheaper prices than the city center accommodations.
