Can Tho is the main city of the Mekong Delta, the nine dragon river delta, where the Mekong River empties into the South China Sea. As the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of the Mekong Delta, itβs a buzzing town with a lively waterfront lined with sculpted gardens, an appealing blend of narrow backstreets and wide boulevards, and perhaps the greatest concentration of foreigners in the delta.
