Cook Islands
The Cook Islands are a beautiful island destination in the south Pacific that should not be missed, especially if you have already visited the sands of Tahiti and Fiji. Rarotonga is the largest of the Cook Islands, home to the international airport as well as the largest town, Avarua. The Cook Islands are split up into two island chains, with the northern one situated just to the east of American Samoa, and the southern one sitting a few hundred miles to the south. The southern island chain is the one you will most likely be familiar with, as it is home to Rarotonga and other islands like Aitutaki, Atiu, and Palmerston Atoll.
