Two fascinating regions; full of countryside, mountains, lakes, hot springs, snow and natural landscapes are at your disposal in this holiday package along Japan. Start in Tokyo (Japan’s busy capital); and from here, with the Rail Pass, combine and visit in Tohaku Region: Sendai (known as The City of Trees) and Aomori (one of the most beautiful and serene places to visit because of its abundance of natural landscapes). And, then, on the Hokkaido Island explore: Hakodate ( best known for the spectacular views to be enjoyed from Mount Hakodate and its delicious, fresh seafood); Noboribetsu (one of many well-known resorts in Japan, with many hotels and ryokans); and Sapporo (the capital of Hokkaido, known for its winter themes attractions such as a winter festival and ski resorts), before heading back home.   • Sendai

    The capital city of Miyagi Prefecture is Sendai, which is the largest city in the Tohoku region offering mausoleums, hot springs, festivals and more. The city is the host of the Tanabata Festival and a fun place to visit with observation towers, interesting museums, galleries, and the breathtaking Sendai Castle. The city boasts a vibrant nightlife and delicious dining options along with superb hot springs and outdoor opportunities. The city is a gem and should not be missed. Discover the great Miyagi Museum of Art, Sendai Station, Aobayama Park, the Akiu Great Falls and so much more.

  • Aomori

    Aomori City in Aomori Prefecture is the northernmost prefectural capital city on Honshu, Japan's main island. This port town used to be the main departure point to Hokkaido via ferry; and, although it remains the main port for car ferries, the opening of the Seikan Undersea Railway Tunnel and the advent of cheap flights have reduced ridership and many travelers now bypass the city altogether. Today Aomori is best known for its spectacular Nebuta Matsuri summer festival.

  • Hakodate

    Hakodate is one of the main cities on Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost island. Looming over the town is 334m-high Mount Hakodate. The mountain's summit, reachable by aerial ropeway gondola, offers dramatic nighttime views. At its base is Motomachi, a neighborhood of steep streets with Western-style, early-20th-century buildings. A city landmark is the grand Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward, built in 1910.

  • Noboribetsu

    Noboribetsu is a city on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. It’s known for its natural hot springs. In volcanic crater Jigokudani (Hell Valley), steam rises from the mountains and hot water bubbles up from the Tessen Ike geyser. Stone demon statues decorate the city center. Trails weave between the oaks in the Noboribetsu Primeval Forest. East of the city, Shiho Peak has panoramic views over the waters of Lake Kuttara.

There are beautiful parks all around the city, fascinating museums and some of the most delicious food in the country.
