Delphi is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most famous sanctuaries of antiquity. It was home to the oracle that was consulted before any important political decisions at the time. Here you will see the ruins of the temple of Apollo that was worshipped onsite, the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, the theatre, the stadium and the archaeological museum. Kalambaka (The Meteora)
Can you believe people saw these enormous sandstone pillars and thought, 'I`m going to live up there!'? That's exactly what happened centuries ago in the Meteora, and today you can visit the monasteries that are still inhabited by 60 monks and nuns. Originally there were 24 monasteries, where today only six remain. Visit and explore the Great Meteoron Monastery, Monastery of Varlaam, Monastery of Ayia Triada (Holy Trinity), Monastery of Ayios Nikolaos Anapafsas (St. Nicholas), Monastery of Rousanou (St. Barbara), Monastery of Ayios Stefanos (St. Stephen), Hiking the Meteora Monasteries, Kalambaka Town Center, Kastraki Town Center, and so much more.
