Combine Seville (where you can visit the Virgin of Macarena at Seville`s cathedral), Faro (the Cathedral of Santa Maria), Lisbon (where the church of the famed Jeronimos Monastery is dedicated to Mary of Bethlehem), Fatima (a veritable pilgrimage site; here the blessed mother appeared to three small children in 1917 and now the town revolves around her presence), Santiago de Compostela (one of the world`s most popular pilgrimage sites where you can walk parts of the Camino Pilgrim`s Way and visit the cathedral where the relics of James the Apostle rest), Burgos, Lourdes (see the grotto where the Virgin appeared in 1858, the shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes, and the birthplace of St. Bernadette), Zaragoza (home to a miraculous image of the Virgin at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar), and finally Madrid (be sure to visit the priceless treasures of the Prado, and plan to stop in to nearby Avila, where St. Teresa founded the Order of Carmelites).
