  Bolivia has astonishing sights such as the Uyuni Salt Flats and Lake Titicaca, Santa Cruz de la Sierra and Cochabamba, the capital city La Paz (the highest administrative capital in the world, resting on the Andes’ Altiplano plateau at more than 3,500m above sea level) and historic towns like Potosi.
  
  

• When is the best time to visit Bolivia?

  The start (April-May) and end (October) of this dry season are particularly good times to go, as there are fewer crowds. You can still enjoy the lushness of the green vegetation left over from the rains in April, while October sees spring on the horizon, with the weather starting to warm up.

• How many days should I spend in Bolivia?

  We recommend 7-10 days based on what you want to see and do. We offer flexible vacation packages so you can select your number of nights in each city, desired hotel and activities. We suggest a minimum of 3 nights in larger cities.

• What is the best way to get around Bolivia?

  By Bus: Most Bolivians travel by bus, as these go pretty much everywhere and are extremely good value. When there are no buses, they often travel on camiones (lorries), which are slower, much less comfortable and only slightly cheaper, but often go to places no other transport reaches.

  The official currency of Bolivia is the Bolivian Boliviano (BOB). The symbol used for the Boliviano is Bs. The Boliviano is subdivided in 100 centavos. The same name was used for the currency from 1864 to 1963.

• Do people speak English in Bolivia?

  The main language of Bolivia is Spanish, spoken by 70% of the population. Many other Indigenous languages are also used, most prominently Quechua and Aymara. English is not widely spoken at all in Bolivia, much like the rest of South America.
