Prince Albert was founded in 1866 as a Presbyterian mission station, near the site of a fur-trading post established in 1776. Situated on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, you can enjoy water sports as well hiking and biking. There is an abundance of city parks including Prime Ministers Park, Pehonan Parkway, and the beautiful Prince Albert National Park with its 1,500 lakes throughout.
