Cochem Vacation Packages

Situated in one of the best wine regions of the Mosel Valley, Cochem is a charming medieval town. The main attraction is Reichsburg Cochem, a hilltop castle, built in 1051. In 1689 the town of Cochem was almost completely destroyed, and it remained a ruin until 1868, when Louis Ravené rebuilt the castle. The remains of the late gothic building were integrated into the castle, which was built in the neo-gothic style, and corresponded to the romantic ideas of the 19th century. The castle offers stunning views of the river and the surrounding vineyards; and Cochem is well known for its wine production, particularly its Riesling wines.
