  <b>Kotor</b>, founded in the fifth century BCE, is one of the oldest cities in Montenegro. It sits on the Bay of Kotor, and is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Medieval-era Old Town, fortified since the time of Roman emperor Justinian; and the fortifications themselves, which were upgraded during the time of the Venetians (who called the city Cattaro).
