Trip Summary

  • Guanajuato
    Guanajuato

Guanajuato is the city that lies in the heart of Mexico known for its colorful colonial architecture and network of narrow alleyways and streets. The city is full of color and history with picturesque villages, archeological zones, arts events and vibrant festivals such as the world-renowned International Cervantino Festival. This charming city has a unique energy with so much to discover including opulent colonial architecture, tree-filled plazas, and colorful houses.

Visit the Regional Museum of Guanajuato, Museum of the Mummies of Guanajuato, Monumento al Pipila Guanajuato, Callejon del Beso, and so much more!

  • Aguascalientes
    Aguascalientes

In the middle of north-central Mexico, Aguascalientes is a landlocked state that borders Zacatecas and Jalisco. It is a prosperous industrial city and despite its messy outskirts, at its heart is a fine plaza and several blocks of beautiful colonial buildings. Museums are its strong point: the Museo Nacional de la Muerte justifies a visit in itself, as do those devoted to José Guadalupe Posada and Saturnino Herrán. This pleasant capital city is definitely worth a visit!

Visit the San Marcos Gardens and Temple, The Cathedral, San Marcos National Fair, San Marcos Bullring, Monumental Bullring, Encino Temple, Broken Christ, Casa de la Cultura (House of Culture), Regional History Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Museum of Death, The Ranches of Aguascalientes, and much more!
