Trip Summary

  • Indianapolis, IN

Indianapolis claims to fame revolve mostly around sports. The Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400 and the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals allow the city to boast the two largest single-day sporting events in the world and the world's largest drag race. Add in the Indianapolis Colts, the NBA Pacers and the NCAA headquarters, and it's easy to understand why sports can overshadow everything else the city has to offer. If you take time to look around, though, you'll find that Indianapolis's pride extends well beyond the racecourse.

Explore the Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana State Museum, White River State Park, Fort Harrison State Park, Eagle Creek Park, Monument Circle, Indiana World War Memorial and much more.

  • Indiana Dunes Beach, IN

Indiana Dunes Beach is made up of the 25 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline inside the boundaries of Indiana Dunes National Park, which in 2019 became Indiana`s first national park. The park stretches from Gary east to Portage, Porter, Chesterton, and Michigan City, Indiana, with the city of Valparaiso serving as a gateway to the park. There are 15 miles of beaches open to swimming and sunbathing, and the park is home to over 2,300 different species of flora and fauna.

Explore the West Beach, Ogden Dunes, Lakefront Dunes, Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk, Cowles Bog Trailhead, Kemil Beach, Lake View Beach, Central Beach, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, and so much more!
