Sendai
Sendai was founded around 1600 by Date Masamune, one of feudal Japan's most powerful lords, and is the largest city in the Tohoku region. The city is the host of the Tanabata Festival and a fun place to visit with a vibrant nightlife and delicious dining options along with superb hot springs and outdoor opportunities. Yamagata
