The small coastal town of Plettenberg Bay or ‘Plett' as the locals call it, is a resort town and playground for wealthy holidaymakers. Backed by majestic mountains and lined by great beaches lapped by crystal blue waters. There are many activities to enjoy here as well as great food and excellent accommodations. Stroll through this relaxed, trendy town, and absorb the friendly atmosphere, dine at highly acclaimed restaurants, browse unique shops all while taking in the out of this world views. Believe it or not, Plettenberg Bay hosts one of the largest seagull breeding colonies along the South African coast at the mouth of the Keurbooms River, named after the indigenous keurboom tree.
