Huatulco is a gorgeous little tropical resort in Oaxaca, bordering its own national park and offering beautiful bays, numerous breathtaking beaches, along with miles upon miles of pristine, untouched coastline. This is a land of cascading waterfalls, deep canyons, bountiful coffee and tropical fruit plantations. A trip to Huatulco brings boat trips to deserted beaches, snorkeling, diving and mountain adventures to villages and farms in primal jungle areas. Until the airport was modernized in the 2000s there was no easy way down to Huatulco, and even today the only international flights come from Chicago and various airports in Canada. The resort has nine Bays and 36 beaches along 18 miles of untouched coastline.
