Morelia is the beautiful capital city of the state of Michoacan. It sits on the banks of the Rio Grande de Morelia between Mexico City and Guadalajara, Mexico`s two largest cities. The historic city is one of Mexico`s UNESCO World Heritage Sites and deservedly so. Much of Morelia was built back during the 1700`s and the city has managed to retain the character of a distinguished colonial town.
