Elgin is a historic town in Moray nestled firmly in the world-famous whisky region between Aberdeen and Inverness along the River Lossie. The town is home to Glen Moray, Gordon and MacPhail, and Glen Elgin distilleries. The ruined Elgin Cathedral rivals St. Andrews in importance, and the gravestones, skull and crossbones memento mori, and Pictish cross slab are unique features about which visitors and historians love to speculate.
