Aberfeldy is a burgh on the beautiful River Tay. The town also includes a memorial to the Black Watch, an 18 hole golf course, a childrens park, and a town square that features stores, restaurants and art galleries. In 2002, Aberfeldy was granted Fairtrade Town status, which was renewed by the Fairtrade Foundation on 15 December 2003. As a matter of fact, with quite a variety of attractions as well as activities, and fascinating natural sights, most visitors can bet there are many things to do in Aberfeldy. Nestled by the River Tay, Scotland's longest river, Aberfeldy was brought into the limelight when the famed bard Robert Burns wrote a poem about The Birks of Aberfeldy in 1787.
