Italian Riviera Vacation Packages

The Italian Riviera is a spectacular crescent shaped bit of coastline along the Ligurian Sea stretching from the Italian-French border to Capo Corvo, near La Spezia. With rugged mountains to the north and east, and the sapphire blue Mediterranean to the south and west, it is dotted with medieval hilltop hamlets, panoramic vistas, vibrant seaside villages, and unspoiled beaches. It is popular with visitors because of its particularly mild climate, charming old fishing ports, and relaxed way of life, which drew famous writers, poets, and artists such as Byron, Shelley, and Hemingway. Genoa, at its center, divides the coast into two sections, the Riviera di Ponente (coast of the setting sun), extending westwards from Genoa to the French border; and the Riviera di Levante (coast of the rising sun) between Genoa and Capo Corvo.
