Northern Finland`s biggest city Oulu is enjoyable to visit offering urban culture and a convenient starting point to the exceptional nature of the Lapland region. From world-famous festivals to floating saunas, the city offers plenty to see and do with a mixture of beautiful parks, waterfront beauty, Nordic design and relaxing cafes. As a matter of fact, at the turn of the 21st century, Oulu became a center for information technology. Technopolis, the oldest and most active science park in Scandinavia, is situated in Oulu. Moreover, this gorgeous city is connected by air, rail, and sea to the rest of Finland. People living in the Oulu Region are largely Finnish speaking.
