Portofino Vacation Packages

One of the prettiest harbors in Italy, Portofino is known as the jewel of Liguria. Its multicolored houses and stunning seaside scenery give this tiny harbor town a picture-perfect setting. Luxury villas perch on the hills overlooking the marina where yachts and private boats bob on the water below, set against the vibrantly colored dwellings of fishermen. There are very few beaches and fewer hotels in the postcard-perfect Portofino. What there are, in abundance, are bars, boutiques, nightclubs, and fishing boats. Portofino is well known for its world-famous visitors like Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart, and the Kardashians, just to name a few. Portofino is car-free but you can drive the narrow, windy road close to the village where there is a small parking lot. In summer, it's very crowded, and driving and parking can be difficult.
