Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire and the largest city in New England north of Boston. The state`s cultural and commercial hub was planned out in the 19th century with the intent to replicate the industrial success of Manchester, England. Many historic buildings from this Victorian-era golden age are still standing in downtown.
