Portsmouth is located in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, just to the west of Norfolk. Portsmouth is well-known for having the highest concentration of buildings on the National Register of Historic Places out of any coastal city from Charleston north to the D.C. area. An important naval city for centuries, Portsmouth is home to the Naval Medical Center, the oldest naval hospital in the United States, and the Norfolk Shipyard, originally built for the Royal Navy.
This vacation package will introduce you to these beautiful cities at the Virginia Coast.
