Grand Junction is a city in Colorado's Western Slope region. It's known as the hub of Colorado's wine country. Split into 5 sections, James M. Robb - Colorado River State Park offers river access, lakes, biking trails and wildlife. The Museum of the West displays prehistoric pottery and 19th-century firearms. West of the city, trail-lined Colorado National Monument is a park with red sandstone monoliths and canyons.
Base yourself in Colorado and explore its beautiful surrounding and natural attractions with a Rental Car. Visit Alamosa (the gateway to Great Sand Dunes National Park, an incredible experience with outdoor trails and entertainment) before heading to Durango (famous for the historic narrow gauge railroad that connects Durango with Silverton) and Ouray (home base for the beautiful San Juan Mountains and National Forest). Finally enjoy a pleasant stay in Grand Junction (known as the hub of Colorado's wine country), before heading back home. Entrance to national parks is not included.
