Eau Claire is a city located on the river of the same name in western Wisconsin. Eau Claire is well-known for its museums such as the Dells Mills Museum, Paul Bunyan Logging Camp, and the Chippewa Valley Museum, and is also noteworthy for its sizable Hmong community which settled here after fleeing Laos in the 1970s. Eau Claire is also a gateway city to the 1.5 million-acre Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest and its 2,000-plus lakes.
